The president of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) in Paete city in Laguna province was inactive earlyTuesday once police found many unlicenced firearms in his supposed house within the near town of Pakil.
The suspect, Roberto Bagabaldo, village chief of Taft, is on the drug watch list of the police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection cluster (CIDG), a report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) regional policeaforesaid.
Bagabaldo could be a brother of Paete politician Rojilyn Bagabaldo.

In a interview, Insp. Juan Renzon Gonzales III, Pakil police officer, aforesaid policemen searched the village chief’sworkplace within the village hall, his house in Barangay (village) Quinale in Paete and his home within the St. James Subdivision in Barangay Burgos, Pakil, beginning seven a.m. Tuesday.
Gonzales aforesaid no gun was found within the initial 2 locations. unlicenced firearms, however, were found in Bagabaldo’s house within the subdivision, that “seemed to function his house.” Police recovered four guns and several other bullets.
“Some had expired licenses whereas others were ‘colorum,’ [meaning these have] no permits the least bit,” Gonzales aforesaid.
No contraband medicine were recovered from the homes, the police report aforesaid.
In a separate interview, politician Bagabaldo aforesaid Roberto might have had guns as a result of he's a retiredpolice officer.
The mayor, however, couldn't additional comment, spoken communication he had simply learned concerninghis brother’s arrest.
